All the 17 babies are doing well and only 5 are on formula at this time. This lowers our costs.
The grounds keeper (Va Sameth) has been busy digging new rice paddies with the first harvest in about 3 months. The rice paddies and organic vegetable gardens will produce just about enough food for the staff and babies. What a wonderful contribution Va Sameth is making!
Our children and staff are eating good, organic food. With the hoped for addition of solar power the orphanage will be a showcase of a sustainable project "with your help".

Besides Sokleap, there have been 10 other children adopted. 4 were adopted into France and the most recent 6 went to Italy. This includes our only set of twins (Srey Ven and Navin).
We have replaced those children and are up to 16 at the orphanage now. 2 of our nannies returned to thier families but we were able to replace them and keep our children/nanny ratio at 2:1
The 3rd building is totally finished including a western style bath with toilet and office that doubles as a guest room.
Our grounds keeper (Va Sameth) has planted a vegetable garden and has been working very hard. The produce will be used by the staff to produce baby food for the children. He is the husband of our head nanny, Khuon Chamroeun
